Backtest strategies

Filter on price, liquidity, trend, momentum, RSI, volatility, dividend yield, beta, P/E, EV/EBITDA, debt and more. Rank the survivors, hold the top picks, rebalance monthly, weekly or daily.

Realistic costs

Commission on every trade, plus optional slippage that grows with trade size relative to each stock's daily turnover, so illiquid small caps don't look easier to trade than they are.

No peeking at the future

Each trade uses only data available that day. Fundamentals come from annual reports and are used only after they were published. Bad price data is cleaned out.

Screener & favourites

Screen all stocks today or on any past date, turn a screen into a backtest in one click, and save the strategies you like. Run in NOK, USD, EUR, SEK or DKK.

How it works

  1. Sign up with Google: free, in one click, with 5 backtests a day. The screener and data pages have no limit.
  2. Pick your filters, or start from a preset such as momentum, dividend, low volatility or quality value.
  3. Run the backtest and compare return, drawdown and Sharpe ratio with an equal-weight benchmark. Save the good ones as favourites and rerun them as new data arrives.

The data: all 417 stocks on Oslo Børs, with 10 years of daily prices, dividends and splits from Yahoo Finance, updated every weekday evening. Also included: annual financial statements, beta against OSEBX, and daily exchange rates.

Backtests are simulations on historical data, not investment advice. Past results don't guarantee future returns. Companies that were delisted are not in the data, which makes results look somewhat better than reality.
